Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov officially announced in his speech at a meeting of the Presidium the beginning of extensive work to organize the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty at a high level.

The head of the supreme representative body of people’s power emphasized that the key tasks at the present stage remain the successful implementation of state programs for socio-economic development and the consistent democratization of society. To ensure long-term progress, the National Leader of the Turkmen people stated the need to develop new constructive proposals for continuing the policy of transformations in all spheres of the country’s life.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty particularly noted that the main goal of all the steps being implemented is to ensure the well-being of citizens and create a comfortable environment for every person. The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed firm confidence that all responsible leaders would make a worthy contribution to the successful holding of this most important socio-political event.

The meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan will be held in Ashgabat on September 23, 2026.
