At a meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov identified the main vectors of the country’s social policy for the near-term future.

As the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted, the fundamental goals of the state policy being implemented are to strengthen the health of the nation, increase people’s life expectancy, develop youth policy, and ensure reliable social support for citizens.

To achieve these goals, ministries and agencies have been instructed to introduce new methods of education and training of highly qualified specialists, as well as to accelerate the development of the domestic pharmaceutical industry, which is directly connected with concern for the well-being of the population.
