Lecturers of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University have authored new textbooks for students of the country’s specialized higher education institutions.

The new publications have been approved by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, prepared for publication with the support of the Turkmen State Publishing Service, and printed at the printing house of the agricultural university.

A textbook entitled “Occupational Safety in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine” has been published by Tore Garlyyev, Associate Professor, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, and Head of the Department of Epizootology and Parasitology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.

The book consists of nine chapters and provides a detailed description of the specifics of work in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, including the rules for conducting veterinary and sanitary measures, pathological examinations, data collection, compliance with safety regulations in feed preparation and operation of machinery, industrial sanitation, and occupational hygiene. Attention is also given to the application of fire safety measures at livestock complexes, methods of providing first aid in various industrial situations, and other relevant topics.

The book is intended for students specializing in veterinary medicine, horse breeding, and animal science. It will also be useful for specialists working in the livestock sector.

Another textbook, entitled “Application of Construction and Land Reclamation Machinery,” was prepared jointly by lecturers of the agricultural university — Arazgeldi Mollayev, Ayyt Annayev, Rejep Berdiniyazov, and Kadyr Myradov.

The book contains five key chapters: “Main Performance Indicators and Reliability of Machinery,” “Maintenance of Machinery,” “Rules of Machinery Operation and Characteristics,” “Principles of Machinery Operation,” and “Organization of Machinery Maintenance.”

The textbook provides comprehensive information on the proper use of land reclamation and construction machinery, planned and backup systems of machinery maintenance, ensuring reliable and long-term operation of equipment, its types and characteristics, causes of breakdowns, as well as other important information.

The publication is intended for students specializing in “Mechanization of Land Reclamation Works” and lecturers of specialized higher education institutions. The book will also serve as a valuable guide for specialists engaged in the operation and maintenance of fleets of powerful modern machinery supplied to the country by leading global manufacturers.

Lecturers of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University — Leyla Ergeshova, Hojadurdy Nurgeldiyev, and Amannepes Amannepesov — have also authored another new textbook entitled “Storage and Processing of Agricultural Products.”

The contents of the book include six thematic chapters: “Processing of Meat Products,” “Processing of Poultry Products,” “Processing of Dairy Products,” “Vegetable Oil,” “Storage and Processing of Fruits and Vegetables,” and “Grain Processing.” A glossary is provided at the end of the textbook to clarify the terms, abbreviations, and concepts used by the authors.

The materials presented in the book provide a comprehensive understanding of the storage and processing of agricultural products, the development and application of new technologies in this field, the expansion of the range of products manufactured using local raw materials, the performance of the necessary calculations, the analysis of the economic aspects of agricultural processing enterprises, and the assurance of product quality and safety for consumers.

The new textbook will serve as a useful guide for students studying in the relevant field, lecturers of agricultural higher education institutions, as well as specialists working in this area.
