As part of preparations for the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, extensive work is under way in the Lebap velayat. In a year being held under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” preparations for 1 September are being carried out not only at educational institutions, but also at enterprises and organizations involved in providing essential goods and services to the population.

A vivid example of this is the school fairs organized by the Lebap Velayat Consumer Societies Association throughout the region. From 1 August to 5 September, more than 70 retail outlets are operating for customers. Around 40 of them have opened at local markets, while the rest are located in areas adjacent to shops.

The school fairs offer a wide range of stationery and school uniforms for students of all ages. It should be noted that, in addition to essential educational supplies, visitors can also purchase products for creative activities.

Notably, most of the goods presented at the fairs, particularly school uniforms and educational supplies, are domestically produced. They are distinguished by their high quality and designed in a national style. In addition to the pavilions of the Lebap Velayat Consumer Societies Association, the state wholesale and retail company “Lebap” is also making a significant contribution to organizing trade. It has opened 10 specialized outlets offering a full range of school goods: 6 of them operate at markets in the velayat center, 2 in the city of Seydi, and another 2 in the city of Magdanly.

A wide selection of school supplies is also available at markets and private shops in Turkmenabat and other cities and etraps of the velayat. The number of shoppers at school fairs and in stores continues to grow. This is clear evidence that on 1 September, students will proudly and fully prepared cross the thresholds of the country’s educational institutions.
