Ahead of the 2026/2027 academic year, the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan organized the charitable Back to School Campaign.

The initiative, implemented with the support of the public organization “Ýeňme” and the Support Centre for People with Disabilities of Turkmenistan, gave the young participants a joyful celebration.

As part of the initiative, 25 school packeges were presented to children with disabilities and children from socially vulnerable families. The Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan, Ms. Beata Peksa, together with staff members of the diplomatic mission, personally presented the gifts to the children, wishing them success in their studies and an unfailing desire for knowledge.

As Beata Peksa noted, it is important to always remain curious, ask as many questions as possible, and never stop learning, because new backpacks and school supplies are needed not only for carrying books — they will become faithful helpers in learning, creativity, and personal development.

Held for the fifth time, the initiative has become a traditional platform of the EU Delegation in support of inclusive education. By providing schoolchildren with the necessary stationery and backpacks, the organizers help them prepare comfortably for the upcoming classes.

And so that the road to knowledge may always be enjoyable and bring joy, animators created a festive atmosphere for the children before the start of the academic year by preparing a rich entertainment program featuring music, dancing, and educational games.
