Mahri Guzychyyeva, a fourth-year student at the faculty of international economic Relations at the Institute of international relations of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan, received a grant from the German academic exchange service (DAAD) and the opportunity to study in the international intensive German language course program «Hochschulsommerkurse» in Germany.
The main goal of this international project is to improve the linguistic competence of students from around the world, as well as to familiarise participants with the cultural heritage, national traditions, and modern scientific and educational system of Germany.
This year, the program brought together talented young people from around 150 countries. During their academic practice, students master the fundamental sections of German grammar and vocabulary. Special emphasis is placed on specialised classes in academic writing, development of verbal communication skills, standard phonetics, and listening.
The educational process, conducted under the guidance of qualified teachers and with full immersion in the linguistic and cultural environment, ensures highly effective learning and efficient acquisition of material.
In addition to language training, the program includes a comprehensive study of regional studies, covering the socio-political structure, economic achievements, and social life of Germany.
In addition to the curriculum, the program includes fascinating excursions to the historical centres and cities of the country, as well as visits to museums and cultural and educational institutions, allowing students to become even more closely acquainted with the traditions and daily life of the local population.
Participation in this program is not only an excellent opportunity for students to enrich their language skills, but also an important contribution to their further academic and professional development.
Bringing students from different countries together in a common educational environment helps establish new friendships, strengthen international relations, and expand intercultural communication, horizons, and worldviews.
