On the 15th of October, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku, announced an initiative to intensify dialogue on transport issues at the level of heads of relevant ministries.
The head of Turkmenistan called for more effective exploitation of the potential of key transport routes, including the East-West and North-South corridors, as well as for expanding international cooperation in logistics and simplifying trade procedures.
«We believe that within the framework of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, it would be appropriate to develop a dialogue on transport issues at the ministerial level. This format would allow for the exchange of national experience, identification of existing obstacles, and the development of practical recommendations in the interests of all interested states», – emphasised President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
