The national seminar “Rights of Women of Turkmenistan” ran in Ashgabat. The forum organized by Central Committee of Women’s Union of Turkmenistan gathered nearly 100 representatives of the vilayet, etrap and city subdivisions of the Union as well as of the capital in the conference-hall of the Center of social organizations of the country.

The seminar was devoted to the issues of realization in the country of the gender policy. As the participants noted, protection of legal rights and interests of the women, accordance of the state benefits, creation of conditions for worthy life and creative labor of our compatriots, raising their role in the socio-political life are major factors of sustainable development of the Turkmen society.
