The second issue of the quarterly Journal Democracy and Law prepared for printing by the Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under the President of Turkmenistan appeared in print. The materials published in the Turkmen, Russian and English languages are dedicated to the key aspects of the state policy of Turkmenistan.

This issue includes the reports prepared by participants of the International Conference The State Regulation of the Gender Equality Issues: Models and Experience held in the Turkmen capital this June, the article of Ives Arnoldi, Chief of the regional office of ICRC in Central Asia, the article dedicated to the key vectors of partnership of our country in the Turkmenistan – CIS format, as well as a number of articles on improvement of the national system of education, science, health and key aspects of the environmental policy of Turkmenistan.

The important meetings and seminars held in Ashgabat with participation of the representatives of authoritative international organisations are covered in the issue in chronological order. The review of working trips of Turkmen specialists to various countries throughout the world with the aim to study the advanced world experience in the legal sphere is presented in the issue.
