Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan Atadurdy Bayramov, Deputy Chairman of the Stavropol Territory Committee on Affairs of Nationalities and Cossacks Alexei Chaplygin, Deputy Head of the administration of the Blagodarnensky city district Peter Mescheryakov, as well as the representatives of the administrations of the Ipatovsky, Turkmen, Arzgirsky, Neftekumsky regions, Chairman of the Council of Astrakhan regional organizations for the preservation and development of the Turkmen culture Fauziya Kadyrova attended the ceremony. The participants expressed their gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his contribution to the development of humanitarian relations between Turkmenistan and Russia.
The festive programme started with the ceremony of laying flowers to Magtymguly’s monument. Then, the poetry readings and a concert took place. The spectacular equestrian competitions and a friendly football match were arranged in the frames of the festivities. The colourful atmosphere of the celebration was supplemented by the generous Turkmen dastarkhan. The best readers and folk groups were awarded with memorable prizes.
