In Ashgabat, it was held meeting of the elders of the country devoted to the discussion of vital issues set before the Elders Council as representative body of democracy.

Discussing the preparation for upcoming session of the Elders Council of Turkmenistan, the meeting participants touched upon issues of selection of deputy Chairperson of the Elders Council.

Henceforth, according to the approved Regulations of organization, he should be elected at the nation-wide forum for a term of one year and among elders of the province, wherein a regular session of the Elders Council of the country will be held. As the contributors noted, the elders have to nominate to this responsible position their worthiest representatives, who enjoy high authority, confidence and respect among people.
