On behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Ambassador Sh. Jumaev conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Portugal and the people of the country and also confirmed the willingness of the Turkmen side to develop a multifaceted dialogue.
In turn, President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa thanked the diplomat for the kind words and addressed the best wishes to the President and people of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, it was underlined that Portugal expressed interest in developing constructive cooperation with Turkmenistan in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Ambassador Shohrat Jumaev assured President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa that he would use his diplomatic experience to enhance cooperation between Turkmenistan and Portugal.
