In frames of the consultations, the parties discussed a number of important issues on the bilateral and international agendas. An exchange of views on the status and prospects of interstate cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields took place during the meeting.
The effectiveness and constructive nature of the partnership between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries was emphasized. The parties agreed to continue an active dialogue, including joint development of the programmes on cooperation for the coming period. The issues of expanding the legal framework for interaction were considered.
In the context of the discussion of the situation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, Turkmenistan presented its, calling for the use of methods of preventive diplomacy under the auspices of the UN and with the development of appropriate political mechanisms, is stated.
During the online meeting, the parties expressed commitment to promote joint projects and agreements in the field of energy and transport, to intensify trade, economic and investment partnerships, and underlined the importance of work of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation.
The possibilities of enhancing cooperation in the spheres of education, culture and science were considered. In conclusion, the parties reaffirmed the commitment of the two states to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
