As is known, the population and housing census will take place in our country on December 15-26, 2012. One of the final stages for conducting this important campaign is selection and training of specialists who will be engaged in the population and housing census throughout the country. In general, more than 24,000 specialists will be trained.

Within the framework of the programme of the explanatory work among the local population, the specialists of the State Committee for Statistics of Turkmenistan will deliver lectures telling about the the population and housing census. Cellular communication operators send SMS messages reminding the local population on the dates of the campaign. Moreover, the authorized specialists of the State Committee for Statistics of Turkmenistan will answer the citizens’ questions on the hot lines that will be set up in Ashgabat, all velayat and etrap centres and cities on December 1-30.
