“Hot telephone line” of census – 2012

From December 1, “hot telephone line” started to function at the State Committee for statistics and its all regional subdivisions for informing the citizens about technologies of holding the complete census of population and housing as well as monitoring of people’s awareness about upcoming event.

Complete census will take place in Turkmenistan from December 15 to 26. Its results will become major source for formation of official statistical information related to the number and structure of population, its distribution over country’s territory in combination with socio-economic characteristics, national and language composition, educational level.

Reference-information system of “hot line” allows clarifying who, where and how will be taken a census, how to recognize the census-taker and what documents he should have, what questions he will answer, what to do if during this important event you will be outside the limits of the country, where your child, who study in other city, will be registered.

If the operator could not answer your any question, he will surely connect the subscriber with the representatives of authorities of the state statistics of the region, where the citizen lives in. In the case if someone doesn’t want to let the census-taker in for some reason or other, it is possible to register at stationary station. Operating regime of “hot line”: till December 15 – from 10:00 till 18:00 AM on weekdays (Saturday, Sunday – days off), from December 15 to 26 - from 09:00 AM till 21:00 PM annually without days off.
