The scientific and practical conference “The ways of improvement of the statehood, law and democracy in Turkmenistan” dedicated to the fifth anniversary of establishment of the Institute of State and Law under the President of Turkmenistan took place at the conference hall of the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan.

The forum brought together representatives of various ministries and departments, public organisations, mass media, university professors and students of higher educational institutions. The forum agenda focused on development of statehood, improvement of the national legislation through implementation of international and legal standards, enhancing and widening democratic processes in the Turkmen society.

As is known, the Institute of State and Law under the President of Turkmenistan was established on December 26, 2007 in accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan with the aim to carry out the scientific and research work, monitor legislation, enforcement practice and make analytical and information review.
