In the conference hall of the Center of Social Organizations of Turkmenistan, it was held a forum, which agenda included the issues connected with solution of the tasks on securing the high organizational level of solemn events, being held in the country. Members of the government, representatives of the Parliament of Turkmenistan, and officials of several of ministries and departments, social organizations, mass media took part in the conference.
Key topic of the conference became the discussion of the program on preparation for celebration of upcoming significant dates – State Flag Day of Turkmenistan, International Women’s Day, National Spring Holiday, Novrus Bayram, Turkmen Horse Day, Turkmen Carpet Day, Worldwide Health Day and others.
As is known, owing to the support of 24 world states, on September 30, 2009, Novruz Bayram was entered into UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. In February 2010, at the 64th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization, on proposal of Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan, it was passed a Resolution. According to it, March 21 of every year was announced as International Day of Novruz and henceforth, it is widely celebrated as the holiday, strengthening peaceful relations between states and popularizing the historic-cultural traditions of people, residing from Central Asia to Balkans and Near East.
In this year, Turkmenistan will accept the guests in the days of Novruz Bayram.
In the course of the conference, it was also held detailed talk about new trends and forms, ways and methods of further improvement of work with a view of successful realization of tasks set before workers of culture and social organizations of the country. At the conference, it was announced the information that at the meeting of the board of the Peace Fund of Turkmenistan held on January 9, M. Sariyeva was appointed as the chairwoman of the board.
