It was held a meeting of the Central Commission for conduct of elections and referendums in Turkmenistan. It was devoted to the issues of preparation for elections of the members of People’s Council and Ghengesh instead of dropped out members. Members of the Central Election Commission, staff of the Central Election Commission, and representatives of working groups created at the CEC, social organizations and mass media took part in the meeting.
Elections of members of People’s Council and Ghengesh instead of dropped out members was fixed on Sunday – April 14, 2013. In this connection, it was made a decision on beginning of election campaign. The Central Election Commission fixed the time of voting: divisional election commission will be open from 7:00 a.m. till 19:00 p.m. Concerning the polling stations, their centers and borders will correspond with stations founded earlier within the framework of election campaign for election of Ghengesh members held on August 20, 2012.
Meeting participants determined the order of holding of the election campaigning. The Central Election Commission approved the leadership for divisional election commissions of towns in etraps, settlements, ghengheshliks and commemorative booklets for representatives of mass media and national observers.
