Festive events devoted to the State Flag Day of Turkmenistan organized by the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, including Central Council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly, National Center of Trade Unions, and State Committee for sports as well as municipalities of Ashgabat and vilayet centers have started in the country.
Theme exhibitions devoted to upcoming holiday were opened today in many museums of the country, for example, the exhibition of works of fine and applied arts, which will be also opened in the capital’s Fine Arts Museum.
On February 13, the program of events will be continued in “Turkmenistan” cinema and concert center with the awarding ceremony of winners of patriotic movement “Our contribution to socio-economic development of Turkmenistan” according to the results of 2012. Solemn forum will be organized by the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan.

The place of their holding will also become the National Turkmen Carpet Museum, “Parahat” cultural and entertaining center, and State Circus of Turkmenistan. Tomorrow, the Turkmen National Music Theatre named after Magtymguly invites the residents of Ashgabat and guests of the capital for the concert of variety-symphonic orchestra of the Turkmen National Conservatoire. In honor of upcoming holiday, it will be organized the evenings of variety music and concerts of young talents – students of the art schools of Ashgabat.
It has become a good tradition to organize the sport events in honor of national nationwide holidays. So, Turkmenistan’s Championships for volleyball, fencing and boxing devoted to the State Flag Day have completed recently. The International Hockey Tournament for the Cup of the President of Turkmenistan, which final will be held on February 17, is in full swing these days. Today, the fans of basketball became the witnesses of the first games for Turkmenistan’s Championship in this kind of sports.
By tradition, on the eve of significant date, numerous facilities are put into exploitation in various parts of our country. So, the laying of the foundation stone of the complex of facilities of transport infrastructure – highway and railway bridges over Amyderya “Turkmenistan-Farab” as well as airterminal complex of “Turkmenhowayollary” State Civil Aviation Department will be held in Turkmenabat. It will be held the solemn opening ceremonies of Atamyrat-Kerkichi highway bridges over Amyderya in Atamyrat etrap and Seydi, Cement Works in Garlyk settlement of Lebap province.
