The awarding ceremony of winners of patriotic movement

The awarding ceremony of winners of patriotic movement “Our contribution to socio-economic development of Turkmenistan” according to the results of 2012 took place at the “Turkmenistan” cinema and concert center on the eve of the National Flag Day.

The action organized by the National Centre of Trade Unions unites the active trade union members and the best workers of the national economy of the country. The festive event brought together the heads of public organisations, political parties, ministries and departments as well as mass media. The guests of honour to the festivity were the labour veterans.


The “Our Contribution to Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan” patriotic movement has been strengthening since the first years of establishing the independent Turkmen state on the initiative of trade unions. All labour collectives of the country joined this movement.

The contests for “The best labour collective in the country”, “The best labour collective in the industry”, “The best specialist” and “The best trade-union official” are held annually within the framework of the patriotic movement. According to the results of 2012, fifteen labour collectives, seventeen specialists and seventeen trade-union official received the awards. A challenge cup, diplomas of the National Centre of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan and monetary prizes were awarded to best labour collectives, and valuable presents – to best specialists.

The group of national musical instruments of the Turkmen National Conservatoire arranged a bright concert programme for participants of the festive event.

These days, the solemn ceremonies of awarding the winners of the “Our Contribution to Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan” patriotic movement will be held in all regions of the country. Summing up the year of 2012, the title of “The best labour collective” was awarded to 56 labour groups, 54 active members of trade unions and 54 workers received the honorary titles of “The best trade-union official” and “The best specialist of the industry”.
