“New objectives of the Turkmen diplomacy” Conference dedicated to the Diplomats Day took place at the Institute of International Relations in Ashgabat.
The forum brought together the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, officials of the foreign ministry, Turkmen diplomats, teachers and students of a number of higher educational institutions of the country as well as other departments concerned and journalists.
According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, those speaking during the conference emphasized that establishment of friendly relations with all countries throughout the world in the name of interests and wellbeing as well as close cooperation with leading international organizations, in particular the United Nations Organisation, were the core vectors of the foreign policy pursued by our country.
In this context the meeting participants underlined the significance of the Concept of the foreign-policy course of Turkmenistan for 2013-2017 that defines the key principles and goals of the foreign policy of the Turkmen state as well as specific vectors and tasks for the near future.
Within the framework of the conference, diplomas were awarded to young diplomats and senior students of the Institute of International Relations of the MFA.
