As a good tradition, in the days of first spring holidays, the final round of the State Contest among higher educational establishments “Talyp gozeli” – “Student beauty” takes place in Ashgabat. It was organized by the Ministry of Education and Turkmenistan’s Youth Organization named after Magtymguly. Twenty pretenders to the cherished title “Student beauty” have met at “Watan” cinema and concert center. The participants are the winners determined in the course of elimination rounds at the higher educational institutions of the country.
The girls demonstrated their comprehensive talents. During several hours, atmosphere of bright festive presentation reigned in the hall. It was performed the dance numbers, brief stage performances. It was possible to enjoy the songs, fragments from literary productions, poetic dedications to mothers, women, toilers…
In the time of podium show, the audience exploded with applause. Everybody admiringly observed how beautiful competitors appeared on the stage one by one. It was a real parade of youth, beauty and of course, luxurious costumes the girls presented before members of jury and audience.
Culinary abilities of competitors, who were able to show their skills in art of laying of the festive table with appetizing foods, were worthily estimated as well.
Creative performances of the Turkmen artists have intensified solemn atmosphere of the event. Small concert was held prior to summing up procedure. On the same time, some of viewers come to the stage and addressed warm words and wishes to women – main heroes of the first spring holiday.
When it was announced that the jury have summed up the results of the contest, each of its participants was lavishly awarded with applauses of the audience. The best girls, leading on their accumulated points, were worth of particular praise of jury.
Grand prize of the contest was won by the student of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly Jennet Emirova. The owners of traditional three prize places became Umida Hamrayeva from the Turkmen State Institute of Culture (1st place), Aylar Gandymova – from Turkmen National Conservatoire (2nd place), Dilber Halmuradova – from Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan (3rd place).
Other participants of the contest also enjoyed the attention of jury members as well as their numerous friends, who came to support collectively the representatives of their higher educational establishments. In honor of the holiday and worthy passing of all rounds of the contest, the competitors were awarded with honorable mention prizes and bright bunch of spring flowers…
