The rates of monetary payments to blood donors as well as the cost of their meals on the day of blood donation are fixed in Turkmenistan starting from April 1, 2013. In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, these measures are taken in order to create a reliable blood bank in the country, to ensure uninterrupted supply of blood to population and medical institutions as well as to encourage blood donors.
