A group of German physicians arrived in Ashgabat. Regular visits of German professors to our country vividly exemplify the actively developing Turkmen-German cooperation in the health care sector.
That is vividly proved by successful partnership between the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan with the Senior Experten Service (SES), the Foundation of German Industry for International Cooperation.
Within the framework of this cooperation, the SES experts in the healthcare industry regularly exchange their experience with Turkmen colleagues, upgrade their professional skills and assist them in studying the best European practice.
These days, urologist Bernd Heine from Wismar has visited the International Medical Centre for Internal Diseases of Turkmenistan. The main goal of his work in our country is to facilitate adoption of an efficient method of treating urolithiasis.
A dentalprothetist from Hamburg Mr. Yurgen Kamrat visited a dental department of the Directorate of the International Medical Centres with the aim to train young Turkmen specialists and apply the most advanced dental methods.
Within the framework of the visit to the Scientific and Clinical Centre of Oncology in March, 2013, Professor of Oncogynecology Merpol Hans Gerhard performed eighteen operations jointly with Turkmen specialists and provided consultations to more than eighty patients from different regions of our country. Highly appreciating the level of qualification of Turkmen doctors, Professor Gerhard underlined the significance of scientific researches conducted in the Centre.
These days, another SES expert, highly qualified scientists, oncologist, abdominal surgeon, Doctor of Medicine Martin Michael Christianu has visited the Oncology Centre.
Within the framework of the mission, the German specialist and his Turkmen colleagues will perform operations and provide consultations to local patients. It is also planned to perform exhibition operations.
A scientific and practical conference will be held on the outcomes of the visit. Our guest as well as scientists and specialists of the Scientific and Clinical Centre of Oncology will present their reports during the forum.
Within the SES project, it is planned that thirty German specialists will come to Turkmenistan this year.
