Central Election Committee sums up the election of Mejlis deputies to replace those who have resigned

A regular meeting of the Central Election Commission for Elections and Referenda in Turkmenistan summed up the election of Mejlis deputies to replace those who have resigned.

As was reported, elections were held on an alternative basis in accordance with the current law and international standards. Over 94,000 voters that is more than 81% of voters registered participated in the elections. Thus, the elections completed in all 109 polling stations.

Adopting the action plan for holding elections at the high organisational level, the Central Election Commission approved the samples of documents for nomination of candidates, ballot papers, etc. the nomination campaign will start on June 19.

Other organisational issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting.
