The new traffic regulations have been introduced in Turkmenistan with the view of enhancing the efficiency of the traffic safety measures and bring traffic laws of Turkmenistan in line with international standards.

The relevant Resolution was issued by the President of Turkmenistan. In accordance with the Resolution ministries, departments, khyakimliks, enterprises, institutions and organisations are to ensure traffic safety and observance of the rules to prevent traffic accidents and mass media are to distribute the materials promoting increased awareness of traffic safety on a regular basis.
