Bright confirmation of resoluteness of the Turkmen state and society became a regular action on elimination of a large batch of narcotic drugs withdrawn in the first half of the current year in the course of special operations conducted by law enforcement agencies and military bodies of Turkmenistan. This action was held today in the morning in Kasamly Julge settlement near Ashgabat. The Government of the country, State Coordination Commission at the Cabinet of Ministers on fight against drugs and State Service for security of healthy society of Turkmenistan became the organizers of this action timed to the International Day on fighting against addiction, spreading and illegal drug trafficking.
The workers of defense and law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan, leading international organizations, including the UN agency on drugs and crime (UNODC), heads of diplomatic representative offices and missions accredited to Turkmenistan, representatives of the social organizations and mass media became the witnesses of liquidation of over 230 kilograms of drugs.
