Turkmenistan-Japan political consultations with a delegation led by Special Representative for Central Asia, Deputy Director-General of the European Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Takeshi Hikihara were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on July 1-2, 2013.
The sides discussed a wide range of aspects of bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to the preparations for an official visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan.
An exchange of views on the agenda of the Fifth Meeting of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue took place. It will provide the platform for discussing the issues relating to cooperation within the international organisations and promotion of economic and cultural cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan.
