It was held a meeting of the Central Election Committee for conduct of elections and referenda in Turkmenistan. The members of the Central Election Committee, representatives of work groups created at the Central Election Committee, national observers, and representatives of mass media took part in it.
It was listened to the reports about results of the elections of etrap People’s Council members held on August 18 in newly created etraps of Ashgabat – Rukhabat and Abadan as well as elections of etrap People’s Council and Gengesh members in Derveze etrap of Akhal province. Declaration of will of candidates was held in the atmosphere of openness and publicity, on wide alternative basis with high presence.
