Center of businesswomen was created at the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan. Activists of this social organization, who are engaged in entrepreneurial activity and work in financial and economic sphere, became its initiators. Entrepreneur with two-year experience, member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan Aybolek Polliyeva was elected as Chairwoman of the Center.
Activists underline that the activity of the Center will be deprived of any formalities. According to Provision on the Center, its activity will be arranged on democratic principles. Women, who are engaged in the sphere of entrepreneurship, officials of commercial and non-commercial structures, managers and members of administrative staff of high and middle levels, employees of firms and organizations as well as women, participating in business, socio-political and cultural life of Turkmenistan can be the members of the Center.
Activists plan to render consultative, methodological, psychological and other assistance to women, who desire to organize their business, teach to civilized business, give legal support to women in the issues of conduct of entrepreneurial activity, in study of family, civil and other legislation of Turkmenistan, defend and represent the interests of members of the Center at the state authorities, social associations and organizations, institutions of local government, different sectors of economy, as well as to assist in job placement and raise the educational level; hold regular meetings with a view of information exchange, business exchange on issues, which are of particular interest for businesswomen. The contests for the title of most successful business-lady will be good stimulus for women.
In Turkmenistan, there are full-scale approaches to the market economy. It is increased the role of private sector. So, according to data for July 2013, total commodity turnover of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs has increased by 127 percents, volume of services rendered to population – by 74.6%. Society and state create wider possibilities for active participation of women in political, economic and social processes.
