Turkmenistan celebrates the holiday of peace that is sacred for all Muslems all over the world - Kurban Bayram.
In accordance with the centuries-old traditions, early morning on the first day of the holiday, the prayers - Bayram Namaz are given in all mosques in the country as a symbol of unity and cohesion, the invariable adherence of the Turkmen people to the high spiritual values.
The festive events and concerts are arranged in all parks and recreation centres in the Turkmen capital and all regions of the country on occasion of Kurban Bayram. High swings are an essential attribute of the holiday. It is believed that one can be cleansed of sins by swining.
