The tasks on further modernization and development of the road and transport infrastructure of Ashgabat have been included in agenda of the meeting held today in the capital. The members of government, officials of several ministries and sectoral departments, governors of Ashgabat and capital etraps, national entrepreneurs and foreign businessmen as well as chancellors and students of core higher educational establishments, representatives of mass media and other took part in the meeting held on the instruction of the head of state.
In their reports, the contributors accentuated the attention on issues of coordinated, qualitative and opportune fulfillment of all works connected with realization of projects of further development of road and transport infrastructure of the capital, elaboration of complex system of measures and relevant detailed plan.
As a whole, modernization of 12 streets with total length of over 59 kilometers is planned in the capital. Here it is planned to construct 18 bridges, 39 underground pedestrian crossings. Moreover, 15 overland crossings will be constructed. At that, within the framework of complex works, it is envisaged full replacement of engineering and communication nets, introduction of modern systems of traffic safety, installation of electronic information board, LED-monitor and others. All these will allow optimizing the traffic streams and increasing of traffic capacity of road network taking into account increasing quantity of motor transport means, raising the safety level on roads.
