Humanitarian cargo was delivered to Afghanistan

As is known, in the course of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held on November 22, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Order on rendering a regular humanitarian aid for population of the frontier regions of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. In accordance with the Order, the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Trade and Foreign economic ties of Turkmenistan, State Association of Food Industry of Turkmenistan and Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan were charged to transfer without compensation various goods and products, including sport cloth, agricultural products, school desks and confectionery to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

As the nation leader underlined, this decision was dictated with adherence of Turkmenistan to humanistic values in its home and foreign policy as well as striving to strengthen good-neighborly relations with brotherly Afghan people, who build a peaceful life and arrange the foundations of future stable development. The head of state noted that rendering constant support to people of neighboring country, Turkmenistan confirms the striving for further development of cultural and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

With a view of fulfillment of this instruction, the Turkmen delegation delivered to population of frontier regions of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan a large cargo of humanitarian aid, which contained various commodities and products.

Officials and population of the provinces of Afghanistan accepted the humanitarian cargo and expressed sincere gratitude to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for this act of goodwill dictated with invariable striving of the Turkmen state to develop relations of friendship and cooperation with neighboring country, experiencing the stage of formation of peaceful and stable life.

The representatives of the Afghan provinces also told at the ceremony about their sincere pride for scale successes, being attained by brotherly Turkmen people under wise leadership of the nation leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and particularly underlined firm and successive position of Turkmenistan with respect to the Afghan people. As the contributors noted the Turkmen state is most active and direct participant of the peaceful revival of Afghanistan, contributing to its socio-economic growth.
