After women-entrepreneurs, who created their center of business women, the women-scientists also founded their club. On the basis of unity of the interests, they intend to stir up their participation in realization of the state scientific-technical programs, strengthen scientific-intellectual female élite of Turkmenistan.

Club is founded on social basis with participation and support of the Union of Women of Turkmenistan. Major principles of the club’s activity are voluntariness, collective nature, activity, respect of dignity of each other. At the first general meeting, Ejegul Khojamyadova – senior researcher of the History Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan was elected as the chairwoman of the club.

From first days since creation of the club, the women-scientists were actively involved in work. With a view of popularization of the attainments in the national science, involvement of the youth into scientific work, the activists deliver lectures, meet with students, and speak in mass media. It is planned to organize among its members the contest for the best scientific work, hold festive events devoted to the Neutrality Day of Turkmenistan and then, New Year’s Day.

Creation of the club of women-scientists is the significant contribution to the activity of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan on realization of the gender policy.
