The plant for desalination of sea water with capacity of 50 000 cubic meters per day will be constructed in Turkmenbashi etrap of Balkan province. Ministry of Water Economy of Turkmenistan will conclude a contract for construction of the plant with the Turkish “Polimeks” company.

Realization of the project will serve for further improvement of supply of Turkmenbashi city and National Tourist Zone “Avaza” with pure potable water. The construction works start in December 2013. Water distiller is planned to be put into full exploitation in May 2016.
