A regular action on elimination of a large batch of drugs withdrawn in the course of several special operations held by law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan took place today in Kasamly Julge settlement near Ashgabat. Action was organized by the Government, State Coordination Committee for drug addiction control at the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and State Service for security of healthy society.


The representatives of international organizations – the largest UN structures, including UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNDOC), OSCE, diplomatic missions accredited to Turkmenistan, workers of the national and foreign mass media, social organizations became the witnesses and most of them direct participants of destruction of lethal poison. The drugs were demonstrated for participants. Every attendant was able to send with own hand to furnace a package of dangerous contraband goods.

Today in Turkmenistan, it is realized a series of regional and national projects and Programs of UN Office on Drugs and Crime, European Union, as well as implemented joint projects with participation of the governments of several countries aimed at fight against illicit drug traffic, reinforcement of the passport control with a view of detection of narcotic drugs.
