The solemn ceremony of awarding US$ one million to the winner of the contest for the best strap of the country - Ak Bugday Etrap took place in the Centre of Culture built in the Gyami settlement recently.

The heads of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Velayat and Etrap Khyakimliks, the representatives of the public organizations, the elders, agricultural workers, the youth and numerous citizens of the etrap attended the ceremony.

Those speaking during the ceremony congratulated the winners on the victory emphasizing their merits would serve as a worthy example for all citizens of Turkmenistan. The ceremony participants expressed deep gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the high appraisal of their contribution to the social and economic development of Turkmenistan in their Address to the Turkmen leader. Upon completion of the ceremony, the creative group of the velayat performed a festive concert.

The book exposition showcasing the works by the President of Turkmenistan as well as new publications dedicated to the culture and art of Turkmenistan was arranged in the foyer of the Centre of Culture. The exposition of the decorative and applied arts told about the talents of the agricultural workers.
