International Women's Day celebrations were held in Turkmenistan

The wonderful spring holiday - International Women's Day - was widely and slovenly celebrated in Turkmenistan. The celebrations in honour of sweetheart, beloved and loving mothers, grandmothers, daughters and sisters were held in the capital, all the towns and villages of our country.

The bright bouquet of the celebrations included the festive event organized by the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture that brought together our compatriots from all over the country, who had gained the outstanding achievements in work, childrearing, social life, in the magnificent hall of the Yyldyz Hotel.


The audience included the heads of the Mejlis, cabinet ministers, deputies of the national Parliament, heads and representatives of regional administrations, ministries and departments, research and educational institutions, public organisations, scientists and artists, labour veterans, students, media representatives and entrepreneurs. Among the guests were the women, who received the honorary title Ene Myhri and Zenan Kalby Order.


A special cordial and heartfelt atmosphere that reigned under the domes of the festively decorated assembly hall was maintained by popular artists, who inspiringly performed classic works, wonderful melodies and songs praising the beauty of Turkmen women, love, eternal youth and generosity of the ancient Turkmen land. Famous artists and their younger colleagues - students of the Turkmen National Conservatoire expressed their warm greetings and hearty wishes to their mothers, grandmothers, sisters and daughters .


A significant part of the festive programme was the premieres of songs dedicated to tender, sweetheart, charming, modest, wise, faithful and selfless women of Turkmenistan. Humorists pleased the audience with their witty and sparkling jokes. Most performers represented the stronger sex, who enthusiastically and happily used an opportunity to express their sincere and good feelings to the beautiful half of the Turkmen society. The festive event was concluded with the song Ene Sarpasy - some kind of hymn to women - mothers. The participants of the concert and the 'heroines' of the celebrations, who deserved the hearty and bright holiday, joined the soloists in singing.


Festive concerts with the participation of popular music groups and singers were held on that day at the cinema and concert halls Watan and Turkmenistan and the cultural centres in towns and villages of our beloved homeland. Hearty and sincere congratulations to dear women, girls, young women, the wishes a wonderful spring mood, love and joy, peace and prosperity were heard everywhere .
