A new kindergarten was opened in Akdepe settlement in Baharly Etrap. Children held the first celebrations in the new kindergarten together with their parents and guests who had come to congratulate young hosts. Officials of the velayat and etrap khyakimliks, the elders and local citizens also gathered together around the beautiful New Year’s tree decorated with colourful toys, lights and garlands. The main heroes of the New Year celebrations were children dressed as their favourite fairytale personages.
The two-storey new building of the preschool institution designed for 100 children is located on Azatlyk Street in the new housing estate. It is built by the construction and mounting organisation 4 of the Asgabatgurlusyk production association. The original architectural solution, modern building materials, national décor and fairytale motifs – all this create the conditions conducive to integrated development and recreation of children.
The rooms for small children and language laboratory where children will learn foreign languages are on the ground floor and the rooms for older children, Galkynys room and rooms for music and drawing lessons are on the first floor. There are the gyms with sports equipment for children of different ages on each floor. There are a great number of toys and learning aids in all rooms including cosy bedrooms and game rooms where the colourful cartoon scenes are depicted on the walls.
There are covered playing grounds where the funny animal statuettes are placed in the yard. There are also sports grounds for playing volleyball and basketball, mini football fields and two swimming pools.
There are flowerbeds and green lawns with cypress, thuja, pine and juniper young trees and euonymus and rose bushes in the adjacent territory. An orchard where fruit trees and berries are planted in the 2-hectare will grow in this children’s town.
