The students of Magtymguly Turkmen State University gained the outstanding achievements in the 3rd Internet Mathematical Olympiad which was held in the Ariel University in Israel on the eve of the New Year 2012.

Five teams of students of the Faculty of Mathematics of the Turkmen State University participated in the prestigious intellectual contest, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports. The team of students led by Yu. Ermetov won the silver medal, and the bronze medals were awarded to the teams led by P. Gurbanov and A. Yagmyrov.

The future Turkmen mathematicians competed with 189 teams from 15 countries for the medals.

Students of Magtymguly Turkmen State University are preparing for the 4th Internet Mathematical Olympiad which will take place in 2012. They will perform in the individual events and a number of other intellectual international contests.
