A regular issue of the historical, documentary, scientific, theoretical and methodological journal Turkmen Arhiwi prepared for publication by the Main Archives Department under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan appeared in print.

The issues begins with the overviews of a number of official documents. The Resolution the National Archival Fund of Turkmenistan and the Law of Turkmenistan on Archives and Archival Activities of Turkmenistan are presented under the heading Official documents.


The research articles based on the documentary material containing much little-known information will be of particular interest to the readers. The issue provides additional information to the previously published five-volume books Hatyra and Sohrat that immortalize the names of Turkmen soldiers, who gave their lives for a peaceful and happy life of the present and future generations of all peoples of the world and who underwent ordeals of the 1941-1945 war and returned home with victory.

A significant part of articles in the regular issue of the departmental journal is devoted to the historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of the Turkmen people. The collection of unique photographic reproductions of the Central State Archive of Film and Photo Documents of Turkmenistan will arouse keen interest.
