The Saglyk pharmaceutical factory is to be reconstructed. The new iodine factory and other pharmaceutical facilities supplied with state-of-the-art equipment are to be built there. It is also planned to train and retrain local personnel to use new manufacturing equipment.

The decision on the reconstruction of the Saglyk pharmaceutical factory was adopted during the recent government meeting. The contractor is the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the project is to be implemented by the Kary private enterprise.

One of the leading pharmaceutical factories in the country will be reconstructed under the medical industry development programme of Turkmenistan for 2011-2015. The project objective is to meet the demand in domestically produced medicinal products.
