Today, the people of Turkmenistan are celebrating Oraza bairamy that has symbolizes the triumph of mercy, kindness and aspirations of society to spiritual perfection from time immemorial. From early morning, public prayers have been held at all mosques throughout the country in honour of the blessed festival celebrated by all Muslims of the world, marking the end of the holy month of Oraza (Ramadan) and a thirty-day fast.

Following the tradition, a humane act was performed to mark the holiday. A large group of citizens, who were amnestied in accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, returned from prison to their homes. They got the opportunity to change their life and redeem their faults to the society and their family by earning an honest livelihood.

Our people are celebrating the holy Muslim month of Oraza that according to lunar calendar opens a new month of Shawwal (Bairam) with the purest thoughts and confidence in their future, the happy future of their children. Oraza bairamy strengthens our faith in the good principles and universal spiritual values, enhancing labour enthusiasm of the solidary Turkmen people for new achievements and lofty aspirations on the chosen path. By tradition, after namaz people visit relatives and friends, wishing everyone peace and prosperity and greeting one another: Namaz-orazynyz kabul bolsun!, Bayramynyz gutly bolsun!

Sadaqah and charity events as the final stage of the fast are being held all over the country.
