On October 23, XVII Conference of World Turkmen Humanitarian Association will be held in Ashgabat. Delegates of the forum will also take part in the festive events in honor of the 23rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
This international organization founded in May 1991 united thousands of compatriots, who are far from historical Motherland by chance. WTHA includes nearly thirty foreign subdivisions, hundreds of collective and individual members – the representatives of Turkmen Diasporas in different countries.
Goals and tasks of WTHA is the rendering of assistance to the representatives of Turkmen people, who live in other countries, in learning of native language, literature, art, preservation of national customs and traditions, in creation of centers of national culture. Association learns the history and modern condition of foreign Turkmen and assists in provision of information about life in Turkmenistan. At the same time, thanks to the Association, the world Turkmen got an opportunity to visit our country, take part in the national solemnities on the occasion of significant dates and other large events.
Organization of forum of WTHA on the eve of main holiday of the country – the Independence Day became a good tradition, contributing to the preservation of spiritual ties of ethnic Turkmen with historical Motherland.
