The organizing committee for the establishment of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan held a meeting at the business centre of public associations of Turkmenistan.
The members of the organizing committee for the establishment of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan and the delegates from the regions of the country, who support the establishment of the party, participated in the meeting.
Ample opportunities to democratize the state and society and ensure that our citizens exercise their constitutional right to establish political parties are provided in our country. Ongoing democratic reforms have made it possible to adopt the Law of Turkmenistan on Political Parties and take critical steps towards the formation of the multiparty system in our country. Nowadays, the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan exists.
Exercising their rights enshrined in the Constitution and the Law of Turkmenistan on Political Parties, in support of the ambitious reforms taking place in the agricultural sector, the political initiatives put forward in the agricultural sector and ongoing democratic reforms, a group of citizens of our country formed an organizing committee for the establishment of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan in July this year. The organizing committee carries out the organisational and awareness raising activities in the regions in accordance with national laws. The organizing committee took specific steps to unite citizens, who support the establishment of the Agrarian Party, in the regions.
The reports on the work done by the organizing committee for the establishment of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan to unite citizens, who support the establishment of the Agrarian Party, in the regions was presented during the meeting. The issues related to the convention of the constituent assembly, the procedures for conducting meetings to nominate the delegates who would represent the regions of the country at the constituent assembly, the preparation of the necessary documents for registration of the Agrarian Party in accordance with national laws were discussed during the meeting. The organizing committee adopted the decision to convene the constituent assembly of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan on September 28, 2014 and apply for registration to the Ministry of Justice in accordance with national laws.
The decision to put the issues related to the establishment of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan, the approval of the charter and action programme of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan, the election of the members of the Central Council of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan, the members and managers of the Control and Audit Committee of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan on the agenda of the constituent assembly of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan was adopted.
