The solemn ceremonies were held in Turkmenabat to present the high state awards and confer the honorary titles to outstanding specialists of various sectors of the national economy, front rank workers, heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan in foreign countries, specialists of ministries and departments and their subdivisions and artists who have profoundly contributed to the social, economic, cultural and spiritual development of Turkmenistan and the enhancement of its international prestige.
The ceremony was attended by the high-ranking officials of Mejlis, cabinet ministers, representatives of public organisations and delegates of the Elders’ Council, which had taken place with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on that day.
The celebrations in honour of Turkmen citizens who had received the high awards and honorary titles in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan for their dedication to the country, outstanding labour achievements and diligent work of many years are another evidence for deep respect paid in our country to the professionals and experts in their field, who employ their experience, knowledge and skills to selflessly serve the Motherland and set a good example for our youth to follow.
Those speaking at the ceremonies held on the instructions of the Turkmen leader warmly congratulated the workers, who had received the highest awards of the Motherland, on the 23rd anniversary of independence and expressed their wishes for happiness, prosperity and new achievements in creative endeavours. Though much work has been done thanks to the joint efforts, the even more ambitious objectives are to be achieved.
The musical finale of the celebrations was a concert performed on the stage of the Ruhiyet Palace in Turkmenabat by cultural and art workers.
