Solemn awarding ceremony of high state awards to valiant defenders of Motherland - servicemen and employees of military and law enforcement agencies on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of independence was held today on the instruction of the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
This significant event was held in new memorial complex “Halk hakydasy” created as a tribute to unparalleled feat, heroism, high martial spirit and patriotism of national heroes, who fell on the field of battle. Officers, soldiers, students of a military school, personnel of military and law enforcement agencies have gathered on the square before Memorial complex.
Particularly distinguished representatives of defense and law enforcement agencies, who made ponderable personal contribution to the strengthening and protection of the state sovereignty, defense of territorial integrity of the state and constitutional system, increase of defense capability of neutral Turkmenistan, maintenance of lawfulness, law and order in the country as well as upbringing of generation of the Turkmen residents in the spirit of courage and patriotism, were nominated for awards.
In accordance with the Decree signed by the head of state, a group of servicemen and employees of military and law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan were awarded with military and special titles for irreproachable and true service for Motherland, people, honest fulfillment of sacred military duty.
