Practical conference devoted to the issues of realization of National Strategy on fulfilment in 2014-2020 of the tasks outlined in Ashgabat Declaration on prevention and fight against noninfectious diseases was held in the conference hall of Hospital with scientific-clinical center of cardiology.
Organization of the forum with participation of the representatives of authoritative international structures of the UNO – World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), relevant ministries and departments as well as social organizations of our country was timed to the anniversary of significant event in the history of national healthcare system – European Ministerial Conference of WHO on prevention and fight against noninfectious diseases in the context of provisions of “Health-2020” policy, which determined important step in solution of global issues of public health protection coordinated with efforts of countries of the European region, including Turkmenistan.
The agenda of current conference included the consideration of results of multi-aspect activity on prevention and fight against noninfectious diseases within the framework of National Strategy, as well as discussion of further joint actions for solution of tasks set before.
The contributors paid particular attention to the interdepartmental coordination on realization of measures within the framework of passed programs on healthy eating, fight against tobacco smoking.
Ways of interaction at various levels of state management as well as in the context of international cooperation in this sphere will become the subject of detailed discussion of participants at the sectional meetings to be held on December 5 and 6 in the specialized medical centers of the capital.
