Main Christmas Tree of the country - fluffy 35-meter queen of the holiday set in the Turkmen capital lighted up today with bright many-colored garlands. It is the herald of soon coming of the holiday – New Year’s Day.
As a good tradition, a spectacular show takes place on the area before “Alem” cultural and entertainment center.
The lord of winter - grey-bearded Ayazbaba with his companion Garpamyk and their helpers - lamb and goatling as well as the artists of favorite entertainment talk among people hurry to children with holiday gifts and surprises the kids wait impatiently for. The travelers start their long way from sea spaces of the Caspian Sea on wonderful vessel “Berkarar”, where the hosts welcomed the guests on wide helipad with wishes of new good meetings and friends. On the way – festively decorated Turkmenbashi city wherefrom the cortège by magic of Ayazbaba suddenly moved to glorious Turkmen capital.
Joyful procession along whole route is welcomed cheerfully by numerous residents and guests of the Turkmen capital.
Long-awaited guests, being greeted with ringing and happy songs of children in fancy dress, proceeded through arch sparkling with lights and then, bright carnival filled the square before Main Christmas Tree of the country. Spectacular New Year show with participation of the theatrical groups of the capital, young artists of Palace of Children and Youth, art schools as well as popular variety performers, who prepared their creative gifts for favorite holiday, expanded around evergreen queen of the solemnity in the atmosphere of magic and riddle.
Sweet gifts and surprises received from Ayazbaba - from his cherished festive sack became the best award for children.
Beautiful Christmas tree lighted up by desire of children and magic of Ayazbaba became culmination moment of whole celebrations. Hereupon, all Christmas trees set on the squares of cities and villages of the country lighted up with wonderful lights. Colorful performances, poems and songs were held there as well. Happy children sang and danced in a ring. The solemnity completed at Main Christmas tree of the country with large concert with participation of children’s choir, popular variety artists who performed the songs devoted to New Year.
