People of independent neutral Turkmenistan joyfully and solemnly celebrated the New Year of 2015. The great holiday was widely held all over the country.
By tradition, the square in front of the Älem cultural and entrainment centre, where the main New Year’s tree of the country crowned with the eight-pointed star was installed, was the venue of the main festivities.
Numerous citizens of Ashgabat and guests to the Turkmen capital gathered together around the New Year’s tree decorated with colourful balls and lights.
Cheerful music and songs sounded at the square creating an atmosphere of a big holiday penetrated with the expectation of a miracle. Due to the modern communication tools, in particular a teleconference bridge, citizens of all five regions of our country had an opportunity to participate in the festivities near the main New Year’s tree of the country.

One by one, the regions of the country joined to the New Year's celebrations in the Turkmen capital through the teleconference bridge. Colorful New Year's performances with participation of young singers and artistic groups as well as numerous spectators, including the heads of the regions, the elders, youth and children took place in all administrative centres of the country.
Representatives of Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary Velayats congratulated their compatriots on the New Year and presented their artistic performances.
Citizens of the Turkmen capital finished the New Year's teleconference bridge wishing their compatriots in all regions of the country every success in work and fulfilment of their cherished desires in the coming year.
The music marathon was continued with a performance arranged at the stage in front of the Älem centre. Cheerful melodies and dancy music filled the New Year's town.
The culmination of the celebrations was the New Year's address of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the people of Turkmenistan.
Cordially congratulating compatriots on the new year 2015, the Turkmen leader wished them good health, happiness, wellbeing and every success in their work.

Embroidering the New Year's night with the colours of rainbow flashes and showering with the myriads of sparks, this light symphony marked the beginning of the new year 2015. One by one, the sparkling placers flushed up in the sky promising the fulfillment of all cherished wishes.
